Itinerary Details

Day 1: Arrive Nairobi, Kenya

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport-Nairobi, Peace Express Tours representative will be at-hand to meet/greet/ welcome and transfer you to The Fairmont, Norfolk Hotel - BB.

Day 2: Masai Mara National Reserve & Hemmingway Trails

Depart 0800 hrs after breakfast for Masai Mara via the Great Rift Valley where you’ll stop to view the panoramic and breathtaking-views of the Great Rift Valley. Descend the escarpment through the Hemingway-trails to Masai Mara arriving in good time for lunch. Freshen-up with cold drinks, tea or coffee, then dine with a stunning backdrop- whether you choose to dine in the main restaurant with panoramic views, on your private view deck; you’re guaranteed an amazing quite fitting for the exquisite dishes. Proceed for an afternoon game viewing drive in the National Reserve until sunset.

Masai Mara National Reserve is one of the best places in the world to spot the Big Five: lion, rhino, elephant, Cape buffalo and leopard. It plays host to the annual Great Migration, ‘the greatest wildlife show on earth’. Spend three nights here to explore, discover and experience the magic of Masai Mara, a spectacular watch for many millennia that has put Masai Mara the world’s 7th wonder! Days 3-4: Experience the Magic of Masai Mara

Early breakfast 0700 hrs, morning and afternoon game-viewing drives in the Mara Reserve. Picnic lunch is served at the Mara River Hippo pools as you watch hippos, crocodiles. The famous Masai Mara is renowned for its abundance of great animal herd. It’s a wildlife paradise! Thousands of wildebeest and predators migrate from Serengeti Park crossing the Mara River into Masai Mara for greener pasture and water. Afternoon game drive until evening, visit the Maasai tribesmen village for cultural interaction. Dinner and overnight at Sanctuary Olonana. Meal Plan: BLD

Day 5: Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru National Park

Depart after breakfast 0700 hrs for Lake Nakuru National Park arriving in good time for lunch. Freshen up with drinks, and then lunch. After lunch, proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park for game drive until sunset.

The Great Rift Valley was formed millions of years ago. Stretching some 6,500 miles from Jordan/ Northern-Africa to Mozambique-South Africa, it’s the largest Rift on Earth. In Kenya, the rift gave rise to many lakes that have become a habitat for diverse wildlife. One such lake is Lake Nakuru- alkaline lake. Famously Lake Nakuru Park attracts seasonal vast numbers of fabulously coloured pink flamingos to its shallow waters; Hippos, tree climbing lions, giraffes, leopards and a profusion of birds are also present at the lake. This is the only park in Kenya to see both white and black rhinos, buffaloes, zebras, antelopes and many plain games in abundance. Dinner and overnight at Lion Hill Lodge. Meals Plan: BLD

Day 6: Lakes Bogoria/ Baringo | Soysambu Conservancy

Early breakfasts, depart for Lake Bogoria known for its hot geysers along the shore-line from underground formed due to volcanic activities. Visit the Equator crossing, and beautiful Kerio Valley Escarpments where Kenyan long distance runners come from. Proceed to the famous Lake Baringo bird’s watchers paradise of more than 500 birds species have been sighted; Have lunch at Lake Baringo, and then proceed for Soysambu Conservancy. Dinner and overnight at Serena Elementaita Luxury Camp. Meals plan. BLD.

Day 7: Lake Elementaita | Crescent Island

Breakfast; and then morning game drive in a pristine paradise, Soysambu Conservancy spread from the flamingos’ shores of Lake Elmenteita, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, across golden savannah plains, through deep green forests, and into mystery grey volcanic hills. Lunch at Lake Elementaita Luxury Camp, after lunch; visit Crescent Island in Lake Naivasha for a sundowner. Dinner and overnight at Serena Elementeita Luxury Camp. Meals plan. BLD.

Day 8: Amboseli National Park

Early breakfast then depart for Amboseli National Park with lunch served on the way. On arrival, game-drive en-route to your lodge set on the Shadow of Mt. Kilimanjaro Africa’s Highest Mountain at 5,895 meters above sea level. Dinner and overnight at Tortilis Luxury Camp. Meals Plan: BLD

Day 9: Explore Amboseli National Park | Flamingoes paradise

Spend full day exploring wildlife-rich Amboseli National Park, keeping watch for mighty lions and buffalos during morning and afternoon game drives. Visit Amboseli swaps for the Flamingoes. After lunch, visit the Amboseli Elephant Research Project to learn about elephant family structure, life cycle and behavior. Dinner and overnight at Tortilis Luxury Camp. Meals Plan: BLD

Day 10: Amboseli National Park - Lake Manyara Park

Early breakfast, drive to the Kenyan/ Tanzania border-town of Namanga for visa stamp. After immigration formalities, have picnic lunch, then proceed to Lake Manyara National Park situated at the edge of the Great Rift Valley Tanzania-side. Lake Manyara is famous for its tree climbing lions, prolific birdlife and monkeys, who playfully scamper through the groundwater forest. Arrive late afternoon in your lodge, freshen up with drinks, and then proceed for an evening-walk till sunset. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Kilimamoja Lodge. Meals Plan: BLD.

Day 11: Lake Manyara - Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, explore Lake Manyara National Park until lunch break, after lunch proceeds to Serengeti National Park passing through Olduvai Gorge, the archeological site of the Leakey family. Arrive in Serengeti National Park with an en-route game drive to your lodge. Check-into your lodge, freshen-up then proceeds for an evening game drive till sunset. Dinner and overnight at &Beyond Serengeti Luxury Camp. Meals Plan: BLD.

Day 12: Discover the Magic of Serengeti National Park

Spend the next two days here to explore and rediscover the splendors of the boundless Serengeti National Park, home of one of the largest wildlife populations in the world. Keep your camera at the ready for a flash of cheetahs, herd of buffalo or pride of lions. Have a chance to see over 500 species of birds, among them eagles, who glide effortlessly above the sun-soaked landscape. Dinner and overnight at &Beyond Serengeti Luxury Camp. Meals Plan: BLD

Day 13: Serengeti Park - Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Early breakfast, have morning game drive, and then drive to Ngorongoro Conservation area for game drive on the crater-rim till sunset. Dinner and overnight at &Beyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge. Meals plan: BLD.

The Ngorongoro Crater is often called ‘Africa’s Eden’ and the ‘8th Natural Wonder of the World,’ a visit to the Crater is a main drawcard for tourists coming to Tanzania and a definite world-class attraction. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is home of Ngorongoro Crater. It was formed some 2.5 million years ago from a volcanic mountain sinking due to inactivity, and was initially thought to be higher than Tanzania’s famous Kilimanjaro. The crater has evolved into a unique and integral part of Tanzania’s eco-system. The crater is actually a caldera, measures 22.5 km’s across and the rim walls stand 600m high. Views from within and from the rim are breathtaking (as can be seen from the picture). The crater houses 30,000 animals and a large variety of birds, which rarely move from the area due to the availability of water through wet and dry seasons

Day 14: Ngorongoro Crater - Tarangire National park

After early morning breakfast leave with picnic lunch for half day crater-floor-tour 2000ft down by a 4wheel drive vehicle, explore the crater before proceeding to Tarangire National Park famous for its red-Elephants, old big baobab trees with holes through them for sunset viewing on the horizon. Dinner and overnight at Twiga Lodge. Meals Plan: BLD.

Day 15: Tarangire Park - Mount Meru Hotel

Early breakfast, morning game viewing drives in Tarangire National park - return to the lodge for lunch – then drive to Arusha/ Mount Meru hotel to arrive approx 1500 hrs where your safari ends. Meals Plan: BL.

Day 16: Mount Meru hotel - Depart

After breakfast, depart for a destination of choice. Meals Plan: Bed and Breakfast. Note: Optional Beach extension (4-5 days) in Mnemba Island, Zanzibar or Kiwayu Island on Kenyan coast! Wishing you a wonderful holiday-safari with a lasting lifetime memory!!!
